LearningBook was the first provider to offer a Safeguarding-aware online learning journey. Formed in 2012 by head teachers, Ofsted outstanding nursery providers and ex-corporate IT professionals, it’s inception was grounded on a strong philosophy of making observation recording and tracking in schools and nurseries quicker, simpler and safer. Based on tried and trusted technologies, LearningBook has developed a professional, feature-rich digital approach to online learning journeys, underpinned by service levels that redefine the early years sector.
Approached by Footprints Day Nurseries to create a online learning journey for their nursery.
Partnered with Senior Developer to plan and progress the idea.
Collaborated with nurseries and Cheshire based schools to refine features and functions.
Confirmed safeguarding aspect of locked-down SmartTablets as this was important to all pilot settings.
We officially gained
our first subscribing customer! LearningBook was live.
Released our free, dedicated Parent Portal for settings to share observations with parents and families.
An updated, more modern design was needed so our “v2” Capture App and Admin Portal was released.
We re-imagined our Parent Portal with greater homage to paper-learning journeys, as well as the inclusion of ‘at home’ uploads.
LearningBook was nominated for prestigious sector awards
We opened our second office in Cheshire to make more room for our support team.
LearningBook introduced keepsakes for parents to have a life-long memory of their child’s early years.
Our hardback books and memory sticks became available to parents and families.
More products and a better design was introduced to parents.
Our iOS Parent App was released in August 2019 to give parents an even
better experience and boost parental engagement.
